Vienna's English Theatre performes at BRG/BORG Telfs
It’s Theatre Time
At last!
After a long theatre break due to Covid 19, we could welcome Vienna’s English Theatre at our school on 25th April 2023. We ( classes 2-4) enjoyed a fantastic performance of the play “Virtual Heroes”.
The play is partly set in school and partly in a virtual game. The interaction between these two worlds takes the audience on an action-loaded journey. The main characters’ avatars do not only chase robbers in Egypt and Peru, but they also fall in love with each other. Touching on themes like cyber friendship, bullying , bias against “swots” and “losers” and self-reflection the play is close to students’ reality.
One of the highlights was when several students were called on stage to translate a letter from German into English! 😊 By the way, they did very well.

“Hilarious!” “Very amusing!” “Now I’m a fan of Sapphire Stone.” (the avatar of the female main character of the play)
And what did the actors and actresses say: “We’ll come back. The audience was fantastic!”
